Job Title: Garment Technologist
Company: Millennium Fashions – Sharjah
Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough assessments of garment samples to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve any garment-related issues promptly.
- Fit Analysis:
- Conduct fit sessions, providing valuable insights to achieve the desired fit for each garment style.
- Work closely with patternmakers to refine patterns for optimal fit and comfort.
- Technical Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical specifications and documentation for each garment.
- Communicate clear and concise technical instructions to manufacturers and suppliers.
- Fabric and Material Analysis:
- Collaborate with the sourcing team to evaluate the quality of fabrics and materials for each garment.
- Make recommendations for improvements or alternatives based on performance and durability.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, patternmakers, and production, to ensure seamless communication and execution of garment requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Garment Technologist or similar role in the fashion industry.
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and fit.
- Familiarity with fabric properties and textile manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
